I battled the Super Bowl crowd at Kroger yesterday to pick a couple things, and while waiting for my turn at one of the U-Scan machines, overheard the following…
(Couple in their 30’s struggling to slowly get checked out.)
As the machine pleads incessantly, “Please place the item in the bag,” the woman stiffly yanks a bag up from their cart and bellows to her husband and the U-Scan machine, “I DID put it in the bag!!!”
I had to hurry up and exit stage right before I cracked up laughing.
