SPEEDTV.com: Ganassi to Expand Grand-Am Team
In describing CGR adding a third Target-sponsored car in select Rolex Series races next year, team manager Mike Hull duly noted:
Grand Am cars are basically open-wheel cars with fenders on them.
Right, and using similar logic, NASCAR races are basically IRL races with a crowd.
