Roger Warrick has carved a veritable gold mine niche in motorsports art with his series of “what if” gatherings of drivers spanning several eras. His latest appears to be an illustration for an AutoWeek story on their All Time Indy 500 Grid.

After having a single I’d bought of Melissa Auf Der Maur’s play in iTunes the other day, as well as some Ryan Adams and Fountains of Wayne songs where she sang BGV’s, I decided to dig out Hole’s Celebrity Skin CD.

For being nearly 10 years old (released September of ‘98), and despite the persistent trainwreck that is Courtney Love, I was impressed that it’s aged well, and is still a really good album. Much like I’ve found with Aimee Mann’s albums, it flows well from track to track, so you can just let it play while driving. Nice, jangly melodic rock.

I Am Not Mindy

I had heard that there would be IRL testing at Kentucky Speedway last night. Steve, whom I’ve been working with the last few months, emailed the track to confirm that Ryan Briscoe would be shaking down Penske’s third entry for Indy from 5-10 as a side gig from his Penske ALMS duties.
